What is a computerized maintenance management system?
A computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is software that keeps an organization's maintenance information in one place: assets, work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, spare parts and vendor contracts. Teams use it to plan work, cut unplanned downtime and prove compliance. AMG CMMS adds an ITIL service desk, IoT condition monitoring and AI failure prediction on the same platform.
CMMS vs EAM
A CMMS runs day-to-day maintenance. Enterprise asset management (EAM) covers the whole asset lifecycle, from purchase and depreciation to disposal. AMG CMMS does both.
Who uses it
Maintenance managers, technicians, facility teams, storekeepers and auditors, plus the contractors you give access to.
What it replaces
Spreadsheets, paper job cards, chat groups and asset registers that never match each other.
